Vision:
The vision of Santa Maria-Bonita’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program is to ensure that each and every student will exit high school ready for college and career. Every student will have developed strong decision making, critical thinking and problem solving skills which will allow them to become impactful leaders in their communities. Students will be productive global citizens and lifelong learners through an appreciation of diversity, empathy and cultural awareness.
Mission:
The Santa Maria Bonita School District School Counselors are committed to providing a comprehensive, data-informed, school counseling program that is accessible to ALL students. The program supports students as they develop in the areas of social/emotional wellbeing, academic achievement and college and career readiness. Students are encouraged to think critically and innovatively, engage collaboratively, and demonstrate empathy ensuring they become lifelong learners and successful global citizens.
